Repairs & alterations

Good leather outlives the fit. If a piece you love has stopped fitting — or a strap has torn, a zip has gone, or the hardware has given up — we can usually fix it. We repair and alter leather gear, including pieces we didn't make.

What we take on

  • Resizing — taking a vest, jacket or pants in or letting them out.
  • Strap and buckle work — harness straps, replacement snaps, buckles and rings.
  • Zips — replacing a failed zip in a jacket, pants or a vest.
  • Seams and tears — restitching, patching, reinforcing where it's pulled through.
  • Hardware swaps — changing hardware colour or style on a piece you already own.
  • Alterations to gear made by someone else — we don't only work on our own pieces.

What we'll probably say no to

We'd rather tell you straight than take your money. Severely dried or rotted leather, and anything where the repair would cost more than the piece is worth, usually isn't worth doing. Send a photo and we'll tell you honestly.

How it works

  1. Send us a photo and tell us what's wrong, and what you want it to do.
  2. We'll come back with a price and what's involved. Every repair is different, so we quote per piece rather than off a list.
  3. Send the piece in, or bring it to us at a show — see where we'll be. We do alterations on site at the shows we exhibit at.

Bringing it to a show

If we're going to be in your city, that's usually the fastest route: we can look at the piece in person, and simple alterations often happen on the spot at our booth. Check the calendar and message us before you travel so we know to expect you.
